4 Ways to Celebrate Easter at Home
In light of COVID-19 and the consequential practice of social distancing, this year’s Easter long weekend will be like no other. With the heavy undertones weighing us, there is no better time than now to make the effort for a memorable Easter celebration. Let this time together with your family be a moment you cherish, as you have the opportunity to step away from the busy aspects of your life. Without further ado, here are 4 ways to celebrate Easter at home:
1. Cook an Easter Meal
There is nothing more intimate than cooking a meal together with your loved ones. From preparation to cooking to eating and finally to cleaning, there is never a dull moment. To make the meal extra special, make a dish that you don’t normally enjoy as a family and appreciate that moment.
2. Decorate Eggs
When you think of Easter, colorful eggs are usually one of the first things that come to mind. Despite this fact, decorating your own eggs is a tradition that we no longer enjoy as often as we have before. With the extra free time on your hands, this is the perfect opportunity to get creative with your children! Bring out the glue, sprinkles, and markers to make cute eggs and even cuter memories!
3. Egg Hunt
No egg decoration is complete without a subsequent egg hunt for Easter. Use the eggs you’ve decorated in the last step and hide them throughout your house! Remember to write down where you’ve left the eggs in case not all of them are found (You don’t want any rotten surprises!). Don’t forget to prepare some prizes and then you’re set to have your egg hunt.
4. Bake Easter Treats
Last, but definitely not least, are easter treats! Treats are the perfect way to end off your Easter and energize you as you finish the egg hunt! Although any treat is fine, you can take your treats to the next level by incorporating Easter themes like a rabbit or an egg.
All in all, it’s important to take a step back sometimes and appreciate the positive aspects of your life. Whether you utilize some of these tips or all of them, we hope that you stay strong during these tense times.
